Drugs cover a wide range of chemicals which include medicines. All drugs can have side effects. Many have unwanted side effects like addiction or mood swings.
Classes
Illegal drugs are in three categories.- Class A,
- Class B,
- Class C.
Class A are the serious drugs that could cause more harm. They include Heroin, Cocaine, Crack, LSD and most drugs that are injected. The maximum prison sentence for possession is 7 years.
The max for supply is LIFE.
Class B drugs include Amphetamines The maximum prison sentence for possession is 5 years. The max for supply is 14 years.
Class C includes Cannabis. The maximum prison sentence for possession is 2 years. The max for supply is 14 years.
Arrest
You can be arrested for possessing or supplying all of these sorts of drugs.
Supplying
Supplying drugs means giving someone else some of the drugs. Money does not have to change hands. It does not have to be a large amount of drugs. It could be passing a cannabis cigarette around.Cannabis
Cannabis is illegal and remains illegal. It is NOT safe. There may be medical problems and unwanted side effects. It can also impair your judgement, and your ability to drive. This may result in accidents, injury and your ARREST.

Police have the power to stop & search you for drugsUnder 18
If you are 17 or under and in possession of cannabis, (ANY AMOUNT) you will still be arrested, probably reprimanded or a final warning given. If not you may be sent to court instead.18 +
If you are over 18 your drugs WILL be confiscated and a warning given BUT you CAN still be arrested and sent to court.Side Effects
The side effects of using illegal drugs could be medical problems, risk of addiction, education suffering, relationships affected, risk of arrest and criminal record, a risk to job prospects and YOUR future.
