Day 2: Gary spots a problem at a road traffic accident (RTC)
Gary has been to a collision scene and notices a problem on the windscreen. It is now November. Can you spot the problem ?
That's right - the vehicle excise licence only allowed the vehicle to be used on the road until the end of September (six weeks ago). The Police often find that untaxed vehicles have other problems too, such as no insurance or MOT test certificate to prove they are roadworthy.
Sometimes the drivers of these vehicles have no licence to drive or have been disqualified from driving.
Gary says that untaxed, unroadworthy and uninsured cars should not be on the roads and their drivers are a menace to other road users. With the help of the courts the Roads Policing Unit spend a lot of their time hunting down vehicles like this to help make the roads safer for everyone.
Well spotted Gary !
