Text2Talk - R U Being Bullied?
If you or your friends are being bullied or racially harassed text2talk can help
Text2talk is a new service where young people can text in a message to either ask for help or just tell someone about it. This is a confidential service to help stop bullying and racial harassment.
If you would like to use this service, please text 07786 200 999
- if you want to report bullying, text bully
- if you want to report racial harassment, text racist
- If you don't want any further action, text no
- if you want help and support, text Yes
Once the text message is received and if the message is a Yes text, then the message will be passed on to an appropriate agency to support and help you. This is usually the Connexions Youth service or County Council Racial quality officers who will make discreet contact with you and help sort out the problem
If the message is a No message, no further contact will be made
Every message receives an automated response immediately and any call back contact requested, is guaranteed within five working days
text2talk is being promoted at senior schools throughout the county at school assemblies and also by posters and distributed in libraries, doctors surgeries, dentists and in community centres.
The Stagecoach Bus Service is also displaying posters on their buses for the next two years, free of charge.
